Synopsis
Four windsurfers dream of winning the Windsurfing World Championship and becoming heroes.
Financial problems, lack of recognition, family crisis and even the death of relatives are just some of the obstacles they must encounter on their way to success.
El Yaque, town of champions is an intimate portrait that reveals the human side of high-level athletes, from the privacy of their homes in a small fishing town in Margarita Island to the international exposure getting on international competitions.
Filmed along five countries, El Yaque, town of champions follows the story of José Gollito Estredo, Ricardo Campello, Yoli de Brendt and Cheo Díaz.
